Copper demand is widely forecast to ramp up in the coming years, due to demand from net-zero goals, AI technology spending, and defence and infrastructure investment. But on the supply side, challenges are mounting - copper ore grades are declining, supply disruptions are frequent, and major new discoveries are rare.

Meanwhile, uranium interest is surging as countries look to achieve cleaner, and more secure, energy sources, particularly in countries expanding their reactor fleets or restarting dormant power plants.  At the same time, historical underinvestment may constrain supplies in the medium term.

We will cover:

  • Supply disruptions, dislocations and other fundamentals
  • How hyperscalers are involved in the demand story
  • Why the USGS has added both metals to their critical minerals list
  • How market sentiment around each seems to be shifting
  • How geopolitical developments may influence the complex.

Join Steven Schoffstall, Managing Partner at Sprott Asset Management, in considering some of the key drivers for either metal in the coming months.
